FAN ASSEMBLY

Cooling tower fans must move large volumes of air efficiently and with minimal vibration. The components of the fan unit must not only but only compatible with the design but also must be able to withstand the corrosive effects of environments that require fans to operate. In the past, cast aluminum alloy was a classic material used to manufacture these types of blades. Cast aluminum blades continue to be used due to their relatively low cost, good internal vibration dampening properties, and corrosion resistance in most cooling tower environments. Today's lightweight blades, which are exceptionally corrosion resistant, are made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, molded by precision molds.

High efficiency impeller and energy-saving impeller for industry

The Swifter® CTX Series industrial is the next step in air heat exchange technology. It is also patented with Airfoil. It also combines proprietary technology to produce a composite impeller consisting of a uniform fiberglass outer skin combined with a high-density foam inner core. The result is a superior structured lightweight fiberglass (FRP) fan blade that oscillates even less. In addition, due to the high-density foam core construction, the CTX Series impellers experience less warpage and surface deflection during higher pressure loads. As a result, the impeller is better able to maintain the integrity of the airfoil shape compared to hollow core fiberglass impellers, thereby reducing air turbulence.

FEATURES

  • Thin propeller.
  • FRP fan blade, high density polyurethane foam core
  • Steel Shank Plate (for large fans)
  • seamless one piece fan blade
  • No vent/drain holes in the fan blades

BENEFITS

  • Less starting torque and reduced load on the drive system
  • Light weight, high strength, low surface deflection and deformation.
  • Protection against impact damage and precise impeller placement.
  • no fissures or joints
  • Prevents debris and moisture from entering the fan blade compartment.

All propeller fans operate in accordance with the general rules of fan and cooling tower systems with the following factors:

  1. The capacity (CFM) is directly proportional to the speed ratio (RPM) and is directly the blade pitch angle relative to the plane of rotation.
  2. The static pressure (hs) varies with the square of the capacity ratio.
  3. The horsepower of the fan will vary according to the cubic capacity ratio.
  4. At constant CFM, the fan horsepower and constant pressure are directly proportional to the air density.
